Of Course, It Will Happen!

A woman with no history of sexual activity (a virgin) miraculously conceived and gave birth to the sinless Son of God! Isaiah had prophetically declared it would happen, (Isaiah 7:14) so of course, it happened! (Luke 1:29 – 38)

I see these factors embedded in the nativity narrative and its Old Testament foreshadowing:

  • God makes promises that may take some time to make sense to us and other people.

  • God looks for people who take seriously His promise.

  • God appreciates people who accept His promise, but don’t turn off their brain.

  • God may not remove or protect us from social stigma as we embrace His promise.

  • God will provide a support system (like Elizabeth for Mary) as we accept His promise.

During Advent Season, I pray every AGK credentialed person will stir up their sanctified memories and recall a promise God made to you. Let’s refresh our faith and believe Him again for that promise to manifest. Let’s all remember that our lack of experience in a certain area does not preclude us from providing useful service under the overshadowing presence of the Spirit. As in the case of Mary, the Lord wants to bring to the earth – through us – more than ever in our lives, a message of hope, transformation, power, wisdom, and love. The Apostle Paul declared as much in Ephesians 3, so of course, it will happen! “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen” (Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV).

Ministry Leadership can be lonely. But it shouldn't be. Though few may understand the emotions, the responsibility, and the challenges, Regional Connect provides a platform for credential holders and leaders to come together, share experiences, and build relationships that foster a sense of belonging and support.

It’s true—building connections can produce odd or awkward moments.  It might even be messy at times.  But it is worth it!  Relationships bring purpose and meaning into our lives.  Through Regional Connect, each presbyter works to create an atmosphere conducive to conversation and connection. Since God hardwired you for these kinds of relationships, you can be sure that they will lead to a more extraordinary life story! Don't do life alone. Don't let the pressures of being in ministry isolate you.

Remember, the Great Commission is a collective effort; truthfully, we need each other to complete the task. Those who've attended Regional Connect described the gathering as “filled with laughter,” “worth the drive,” marked by “prayer moments” and “meaningful conversations about life and ministry.” It's not just about professional networking; RC is about building genuine, meaningful relationships beyond the surface.

Your participation in upcoming Regional Connect events (scheduled for both February and April) is a great way to sustain and grow this Network. The call to "lean in" is an invitation to actively engage and invest in these opportunities for connection and growth.

 Together, we can achieve more.

Credential Renewals Reminder:

November 1, 2023 marked the beginning of our Credential Renewal season!
We encourage all credentialed ministers, including missionaries and retired ministers, to fill out their Credential Renewal Form online this year!
For more information about downloading or receiving your renewal form, email minister-renewal@ag.org.
Please pay your dues through the website at the same time you fill out the online Credential Renewal form. (YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SUBMIT YOUR FORM UNTIL YOU PAY YOUR DUES.)
- Ordained – $25 monthly, $300 a year
- Licensed – $20 monthly, $240 a year
- Certified – $10 monthly, $120 a year
The deadline for Credential Renewal is December 31, 2023. If the deadline date is missed there will be additional late fees owed. The accrued late fees after December 31st will be $25 to General Council and $25 to the Network through January 15, 2024. After January 15th ministers credentials will be considered lapsed.
Reinstating credentials that have lapsed will cost a minister $100; therefore, we encourage you to send in your renewal form promptly!
Everyone must renew their credentials; this includes both new or those that have upgraded their credentials in 2023.

This year's YTH CON was nothing short of amazing! Over 950 students and leaders from across the state gathered to worship and seek God together. We have received many stories of students who made a first-time decision to follow Jesus, were baptized in the Holy Spirit, and who experienced emotional or physical healing. We also had a record STL offering of $28,298.93, which brings our yearly total to $224,143.40! We are rejoicing over the completion of two more projects - a new vehicle for the Jason and Danica Geesaman (Hope Fostered) and a Convoy of Hope Outreach Vehicle. This means that our final project on the list for this year is the Hollis Arena! If you'd like more information on how you can be a part of helping us fund this project that will impact many unreached people in Indonesia, please visit the STL page on the AGK website, or email Pastor Hannah at hannah@agkansas.com. Giving Deadlines:

The end of the year is quickly approaching, so please make sure to make any end-of-year contributions before the deadlines:

  • Tithe needs to be postmarked by December 31 to receive credit for the year.

  • BGMC and Speed the Light must be postmarked to the Network Office by December 5th if you wish to receive credit from the National Office.

Thank you Robin

Through my 25 years, and for those leaders prior to me, the Holy Spirit has provided excellent employees for each superintendent to help facilitate the multi-faceted work of the AGK Office. Robin Rains is one such team member.
Robin joined us almost six years ago to serve as our Credentials & Church Records Specialist. She quickly mastered the many responsibilities and grew into a tremendous asset. During her six-year tenure, in addition to more assignments than we have room to describe, she assisted more than 250 women and men in navigating the three levels of our Assemblies of God credentialing process. She served with a sensitive heart and eager attitude, stewarding well the moments with each caller or credential candidate.
Robin leaves our office at the end of November to minister full-time at her church in Valley Center. Her husband, Central Region Presbyter, Steve Rains, has led LifePoint as lead pastor for over nine years.
Although Pastor Robin has always served alongside Steve, she will now carry specific duties as Worship and Connections Pastor. We will miss her but rejoice that Jesus has given her opportunity to work full-time with Steve and the other staff members of LifePoint Church. She will add great value to that Kingdom work! Robin – thank you for serving so faithfully and fruitfully!

We thank God for providing Melanie Robison as the person to now fill the Credentials & Church Records Specialist position.
Melanie grew up in Ellsworth, Kansas under the leadership of Pastors Exie and Pam Barber. She comes to us with experience in social work, having served a few years ago at “Main-Place Youth” – a girls home located in Kingman, Kansas. Most recently she held a post in the world of insurance claims and adjusters. Melanie has an eye for detail and a heart for people. Credentials & Church Records will thrive under her capable efforts.
Melanie and her husband Aaron have two boys. They live “all in” as members and volunteers at LifePoint Church in Valley Center.

We are still giving God thanks for all He did during our time together at the annual WOVEN Women’s Ministries Conference.  Women from all across the state filled Evangel Assembly of God in Wichita for two days of Spirit-led worship, biblical teaching, and authentic conversations. This year’s theme was FASHIONED: Created for Purpose. The entire weekend reinforced the truth of Ephesians 2:10. “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”  Friday afternoon WOVEN Women’s Coordinator, Heidi Robidou, spoke about being INTENTIONALLY created for right here and right now. As we closed the service that afternoon, we took some time to recognize Pastor Karen Yancey and honored the foundation she has laid for each of us.  We are grateful for the lasting fruit that has come from her leadership in the AGK Ministry Network.

Friday evening guest speaker Lisa Potter shared with us how INTIMATE Holy moments are found in these three ways: in the ordinary moments of our life, in our ordinary obedience, and in our redemptive stories. Saturday a panel of women shared their powerful and personal stories of how they have seen God’s handiwork in their lives. A beautiful example of how God has INDIVIDUALLY fashioned us. Then Lisa Potter wrapped up our time together by championing us to live in Hero Status which requires: a new way of seeing things, a willingness to take surprisingly bold risks, and a willingness to raise up the next generation.

Reports of the impact this weekend made on the lives of the women of Kansas continue— impacts that we believe will ripple through homes, communities, and churches all across the state in enduring ways.

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ the Changer of Lives and the Mover of Mountains!
As of November 30, 2023, Heart of America Teen Challenge, Inc. will be going through dissolution.  Although the corporation will be dissolved, the ministry previously offered by Heart of America Teen Challenge, Inc. will continue under a new covering.
We are excited as we begin operations under the covering of Mountain Mover Ministries, Inc., a Bible-based, Christ-centered 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit corporation emphasizing that faith in God’s truth can certainly move mountains in one’s life.
We will continue to offer residential discipleship at our Baldwin City, Kansas location with more locations opening in the future.
We would ask that you continue with us in support as we go forward offering our services.
