"WIMB" is a time set aside for AGK Women in Ministry Leadership to break away from their responsibilities, be refreshed in their calling, grow in new and old friendships and find encouragement from the other female Kansas leaders around them. In all of this, we seek to bring glory to God as women are brought in, loved on, built up and sent out for even more effective ministry!
This year our theme is "Vibrant & Abundant"! In John 10:10 God says, "I came that they may have life & have it abundantly." This VIBRANT & ABUNDANT life is ours in Christ Jesus! Even when the enemy comes to steal, even when the enemy seeks to kill and even when the enemy does his best to destroy, The Lord is the source of our vibrancy & abundance!
Later in John 10 it says that He knows his own & that his own know Him! The fact that we are KNOWN by this loving God brings such comfort and hope to every circumstance we face! It is God, and God alone, who tells us our true identity & speaks our Kingdom purpose to us because it is only through Him that we "live & move & have our being" (Acts 17:28).
I am fully expecting things that are dull in and around us to be made vibrant again & dead areas of our lives to be brought back to abundant life! I am confident He will bring you a new "&" to add to your life March 7-9th!

Darla Rakes is a dynamic leader with nearly four decades of ministry experience. In addition to serving as a student pastor in Oklahoma and Missouri, she has held various other positions in Florida churches and, most notably, as a co-lead pastor with her husband in North Carolina. She currently serves as Evangel University’s Ambassador to Students and Donors. Her preaching inspires and awakens people to rise up from every false identification and discover the power of their true identity in Christ.
We are so excited to have Emily Oakley and team back again to lead us in worship at WIMB '24! Emily Oakley attends River Church in Haysville and is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God, as well as a counselor, author, and speaker with her ministry, Rebirth Ministries.
Rebirth Ministries provides biblical counseling for people struggling with mental and emotional issues, and those seeking to improve their daily quality of life. Additionally Rebirth Ministries equips the body of Christ through on-site weekend seminars as well as Sunday and Wednesday preaching opportunities to help better understand and address cultural issues impacting the Church.
AFTER HOURS: Friday night you will not want to miss "Fun on Wheels"! Get ready for connection, laughter, games and even a little sightseeing!
PUBLISHED AGK FEMALE AUTHORS: On Friday afternoon, you will have a chance to connect with Kansas Women in Ministry Leadership who are published authors! They will have books available and would love to connect with you!
TWO MEALS ON SITE: Thursday dinner (prior to the start of Session One) and Friday Lunch!
GIVEAWAYS: As always, we will have some fabulous giveaways provided by the WIMB team members!
